What is Taptics?

Taptics is a team intelligence platform for football coaches and clubs. We turn video analysis into active reflective learning — players articulate their tactical reasoning before the coach gives feedback, so coaches can see exactly how each player thinks and lift retention by 30–50%.

What is active reflective learning?

Active reflective learning is a learning method where players are prompted to reason through a tactical situation before the coach explains the correct answer. Compared with passive video review, active reflective learning produces 30–50% higher knowledge retention because every player constructs their own answer rather than watching someone else construct it.

How is Taptics different from video analysis tools like XPS, Veo or Spiideo?

XPS, Veo and Spiideo are excellent at capturing and clipping match footage. Taptics is built for what happens after the clip is made: getting every player to articulate their reasoning, measuring tactical understanding, and reviewing each player's thinking individually. Taptics integrates alongside your existing video stack rather than replacing it.

Which sports does Taptics support?

Taptics is purpose-built for football (soccer). Every feature — Reflections, tactical question types, age-group methodology, and use cases — is designed around how football coaches and clubs work. Other sports may be supported in the future.

Who uses Taptics?

Elite and semi-elite football clubs use Taptics: head coaches and video analysts for post-match reflection, assistant coaches for pre-match alignment, and heads of coaching for consistent playing-style language across age groups. Customers include Greve Fodbold, HIK and AC Amager.

How much does Taptics cost?

Taptics offers a free trial (no credit card required) so coaches can create their first Reflection in minutes. Paid plans are tiered for individual Teams and full Clubs / academies. See the pricing page for current plans.

Is there a mobile app for players?

Yes. Players use the Taptics mobile app on iOS and Android to complete Reflections, view coach feedback on their reasoning, and play daily tactical puzzles. Coaches and analysts work in the web app.

Does Taptics work for youth academies?

Yes — youth academies are one of our strongest use cases. Heads of coaching use Taptics to make sure the playing style is taught consistently across age groups, that new coaches onboard into the club's methodology quickly, and that academy players develop measurable tactical understanding alongside their physical and technical development.

Can I import clips from my existing video tools?

Yes. You can upload clips directly or paste links from your existing video tools. We are deliberately additive, not disruptive — Taptics doesn't ask coaches to abandon the workflows they already have.

How do I get started?

Sign up for free at tapticsapp.com, create your first Reflection (a clip + a tactical question), invite your players, and you'll have individual player reasoning back within a session. Most coaches send their first Reflection within 10 minutes of signing up.
